Date Night in sydney

Food

Sugarcane

Sugarcane is on the top of my list. We weren’t sure what we wanted to eat and we had been walking around Coogee for a bit and decided to stop in Sugarcane. We were immediately greeted by such a friendly, welcoming host. I had good vibes from the start. We told them we were only looking to have some appetizers and they happily brought us over to a table. We started with the Crisp Tortilla with Crab, Green Apple, Coconut, Lime and oysters and then we had the Large Raw Platter which comes with an assortment of sashimi and other fresh fish items. Ours came with ceviche and scallop tartare.

Totti's

Located in Bondi - Totti’s is very trendy. It has a very good atmosphere, but the design is very basic which I loved. Totti’s has lots of small plates to start with and awesome entrees. We got olives, prosciutto, salami, burrata and wood fired bread! We thoroughly enjoyed it all. As our mains- we split the Lamb Ragu with Pappardelle, Roasted Chicken and asparagus. This is a great place to go for date night or with a group of friends as all of their plates are easy to share. Unfortunately, I don't have a photo of our mains, but here is the appetizers!

The winery

The Winery is located in Surray Hills and it is super cute! They have indoor and outdoor dining for the restaurant as well as an outdoor garden area where you can order directly from your phone and have food an drinks brought to you. Oh and they also have a prosecco fountain. The cocktails here are incredible. I’m not usually a cocktail drinker, but these were just too good! We started off with the Grilled Calamari, King Fish Crudo and Oysters which were all super light and refreshing. For a main- we split the Lamb Tomahawk. It wasn’t really enough for two people, but since we did have a few starters it was alright.

drinks

Zephyr bar

Zephyr Bar is the rooftop bar/restaurant located in the Hyatt Regency Sydney. This is a very chic place and it has views of Darling Harbor. Whether you're looking to have just drinks or food as well- don't look past Zephyr. It has an amazing atmosphere, the staff is accommodating, and they have awesome food and drink options. We had the soft shell crab tacos and karaage chicken (ugh, I know both fried) and for cocktails we had the Superfood Gin & Tonic and Rooftop "Air". I would recommend coming here for sunset, but during the day or night- it will be amazing!

Hyde Hacienda

Before I went to Sydney, I saw Hacienda Bar on Instagram and I had to go! It is so aesthetically pleasing and they have an amazing view of Circular Quay. They do have really good food, but I would recommend coming here for happy hour drinks, sunday funday or after dinner if you're looking for a cute place to go with a good atmosphere. I've probably had 90% of the drinks on their menu. I would recommend trying their Harbourside Hibiscus, Campfire Espresso Martini, Aloe You.

Make sure to take pictures !

China doll

We went to China Doll on my last night in Sydney for a special dinner. It is somewhat expensive, but definitely worth it! Located on the Woolloomooloo Wharf - you'll have a view of some boats and some of the city skyline. We started off with cocktails and I got the 'When Doves Cry' and let me tell you- this is by far one of the best cocktails I've ever had. It has tequila, grapefruit, sichuan pepper and seltzer. We ordered a bunch of food. The steamed prawn dumplings which I still crave, salmon sashimi, chili salt squid, duck pancakes and pork belly! Everything was unbelievably delicious. You can also order half portions of some of their menu items which is great when you want to try a bunch of things.
