Best Low Carb, Low Calorie Bread and Wraps

As some of you may know, I was fully Keto for many years. After maintaining my weight for so long- I decided to add carbs back into my life. I still cook my meals based around a keto diet, but I will add sweet potato, whole wheat pasta or another healthy carb to my plate.

Sometimes I don't have time to meal prep and I still want to keep my calories and carbs low. I was searching for something I could use to make a quick satisfying meal and I found bread that don't taste low calorie or carb!

First:

Joseph's Pitas

I first discovered Joseph's Pitas back when I was just starting out with the Ketogenic Diet. I was trying to slowly immerse myself into the world of low carb after being a full on carb junkie- I didn't want to shock my body too much by completely eliminating them. I stumbled upon Joseph's in the grocery store (and of course read the label for 5 minutes) before adding them to my cart. I went right home after and made a wrap and to my surprise, it tasted the same as a high calorie and carb wrap. Joseph's makes a range of products from wraps, pitas to lavash. You can create amazing, fulfilling meals with these. My go-to when I'm in a time crunch is using a mini pita and filling it with cold cuts and when I'm craving pizza- the larger pitas are amazing for a quick, easy pita pizza. You won't even know that you're eating healthy while eating pizza. To complete a nice Greek meal, I use the larger pita as well. All of their products are under 70 calories per serving and won't put you over your limits!

Here are some of my creations:

Second:

647 Bread by Schmidt Old Tyme

I recently discovered this bread while shopping in my new favorite grocery store, Lidl. What I didn't realize is that it is sold everywhere! That just goes to show how often I am in the bread aisle. This bread is as soft and tasty as a 120 calorie slice of bread with less than half the calories and carbs. One slice carries 40 calories, 6g of net carbs and 7g of fiber. You can eat 3 slices of 647 for the same amount of macros of one slice of a regular bread. They have many different types such as Italian, Wheat, White, and Multigrain. As you know, bread can be used in so many ways- so I don't need to go on a tangent about how I use my bread. It's definitely worth trying!

Third:

Pepperidge Farm Light Style Bread

Similar to the 647 bread, this is a great low calorie and carb option. In my opinion, the 647 is better, but this bread is another option when searching for something to fit in your macros. The reason I say I like 647 better is because it is thicker and just like a regular slice of bread. The Light Style bread from Pepperidge Farm is definitely soft and tasty, but I find it to be very thin in comparison to other brands.

Fourth:

Mission Carb Balance Wraps

I am a huge sucker for tacos, burritos and wraps and when

I became Keto, I found it hard to eat all of the foods I loved while sticking with my plan. I didn't want to deprive myself and I decided to try out some different low carb wrap brands. Mission Carb Balance wraps are some of my favorite. They have a few different flavors such as Sundried Tomato, Spinach, White and Whole Wheat. They are all very soft. My personal favorite are the whole wheat as they come in many different sizes: street taco, soft taco, burrito and fajita sizing give you options to create some lovely dishes. The calories in these wraps range from 45-120 and the carbs per tortilla go no higher than 5g Net Carbs. These are definitely a great option whether you are following a Ketogenic Diet or not.

Fifth:

Tumaro Carb Wise

Tumaro has 10 different flavors of their 8' Carb Wise wraps and 3 flavors for their 10' wraps. For someone who like options, these are for you! The 8 inch wraps range from 60-80 calories and 3g-7g net carbs and the 10' wraps are all 80 calories and range from 8g-12g net carbs. I always bought the 8 inch multigrain because it was the lowest in net carbs, but I am sure all of the flavors will be just as amazing.
