TULUM beach clubs
el paraiso hotel
We stumbled upon El Paraiso Hotel while looking for a place to spend the day. We decided to head to the left side of Tulum Beach as I had never been down there and the beaches looked very pretty. There were a few options other options, but they seemed more sceney and not the vibe we were looking for. When we arrived at the beach club, we were greeted by someone who had been waiting for us. The security guard at the street calls in to let them know you're coming. He showed us a menu of beach chair options, they have so many different style beach beds from loungers, beds, cabanas and they each come with a table and chairs. The prices range from 150-350mxn and are well worth it. We looked through the food and drink menu and were shocked at how cheap everything was compared to the right side of Tulum beach. The day prior I had been paying 245mxn for a glass of wine and here it was about 80mxn. They have a very large cocktail menu as well and the prices range from 130-180mxn which is almost unheard of for a Tulum beach club. We were so happy with the food menu too. It had so many options from tacos, wings, pastas, salads, etc. We decided on the tuna tostadas, the marisada and the Paraiso Salad. They were all so fresh and light and I was happy to be eating great food while still eating healthy. Our server was very attentive and checked on us often. This place is more local than others, but the vibe is awesome and you cant beat the prices. For our entire day of drinking, eating and having fun- the total was only $97 (before tip). We were honestly so pleased by this place and I would 100% say to visit them when you go to Tulum.
Mia beach club
We found Mia when we were aimlessly walking down the beach looking for a beach club. I asked to see the menu and what the minimum spend is to use their beds was. He told me 700-800 mxn which is about $38usd. We kept walking to see what else was around, but ended up coming back. It seemed to be the best for that day. The menu is a tad expensive and we had already eaten breakfast, but we ordered the cochinita pibil tacos which is a roasted pork. I usually don't eat pork, but I had a taco and it was so incredible. We loved them so much and I wish we were hungrier because I am sure all of the food is equally as good. The drink menu wasn't too big, but you can ask them for something and they will make it. I wanted to drink wine and the waiter brought us a HUGE wine list. I believe he said they have over 400 bottles. I ordered a bottle of Rosé for about $900mxn/$43usd. That was one of the cheapest bottles they had. I did happen to see a bottle that I know sells for $10 in the liquor store in the US listed on their menu for $67, so be careful of what you are ordering. Our waiter was great! He had a great fun vibe and made our day a good one.
coco unLimited Beach Club
When I was researching for my trip this time, I was looking for a place that I spent a lot of time at during my 2017 trip. I found out that it had been shut down not long after I left back then. When we were walking down the beach on our first day- I saw the place and it was now called Coco Limited which is a hotel. I knew when I went the last time, it was $500mxn minimum spend to use the beds which I think is a great deal. We picked our bed and got menus. At the time, they were only serving breakfast which you can't order from the beach beds, but you can go into the restaurant and eat there. The restaurant is right on the beach as well and just a few steps away from the beach beds. They have really cute swings with a bar type table to eat at as well as tables inside the open air restaurant. We waited for the lunch menu which starts at 12pm and ordered some drinks. I decided on a glass of rosé and Rob got a Piña Colada. My rosé was priced a bit high at 245mxn/$12usd and when it showed up, it was barely filled to a quarter of the glass. The waiter told me I'm better off ordering a bottle because then I can get full glasses and it will be cheaper in the end. I did that lol I wasn't impressed by the size of the pour, but it was our first day and we weren't stressing it. We ended up ordering just the Tuna Tostada which came with HUGE chunks of tuna and chipotle mayo. It was awesome. When we got the check, the tip was included, but the server told us that it wasn't for him, but for other people involved. I still question this, but we tipped him on top of that anyways.
Overall, it was a nice relaxing day. The servers were very nice and the minimum spend for the day is less than a lot of other places.
