Where I stayed​
As soon as I saw Esmeralda on Airbnb, I fell in love. This place is so dreamy. The architecture of this building is incredible and the decoration they chose suits it perfectly. The rooms are chic with intricate aspects throughout. A lot of the rooms have two levels, but they also have regular styled rooms. During our stay, we stayed in two different rooms. The first room was a two level with the kitchen, couch and tv on the bottom floor with a small patio and half bathroom and the second floor was the bedroom, bathroom, bathtub with a rainfall shower and a balcony. We really enjoyed this room, but we loved our second room the best. Our second room was HUGE. When you walk in, you'll see the kitchen area to your right with a couch, tv, a balcony and half bath and up the spiral stair case upstairs is the bathroom, bed with a skylight over it and a balcony with your own private pool. This was amazing. Since the hotel doesn't have a common area with a pool - it was so nice to be able to have one in our room. The pool has two swings in it and is perfect for instagram pics ;). The whole place is extremely instagramable and I wish we spent more time in the room for me to take better pictures. This hotel has security cameras around the whole building, front desk staff all day, security guards at night, daily cleaning and daily change of sheets and towels if you'd like. The location is also great and is a 5 minute walk to the restaurants in town and a 15 minute bike ride to the beach. They have bikes to rent on site. We felt completely at home during our visit at the Esmeralda Boutique Hotel and would recommend it for solo travels, friends or couples!
